The School District of Clayton Kindergarten Registration process is now open.  Parents and incoming kindergartners can register for the 2012-2013 school year at their neighborhood elementary school.

If you have questions, or are not sure which elementary school your child will attend, please call Enrollment and Residency at (314) 854-6033.  Children who will be five years old on or before July 31, 2012 are eligible to enroll.

Begin the application process by downloading Clayton's Enrollment Application located on the left hand side of our webpage.  Also, be sure to bring the following information:

- Student's official birth certificate or passport        

-Proof ofResidency:

    Must include one of the following:

• Property deed in your name or recent mortgage statement
• Signed sales contract with closing date and evidence of security deposit
• Current lease/rental agreement (signed by landlord and tenant)

   In addition we will need one of the following:

• Real estate tax receipt
• Current utility bill (name and address must be included)
• Voter registration card
• Occupancy permit which lists all the occupants of the residence

Regardlessof the documents that may be available, simply owning or renting propertywithin District boundaries does not establish residency; the primary criterionis the location of the family's actual domicile. The District has the right torequest additional proofs at any time or to employ other means to verifyresidency. Under Missouri law, misrepresenting residency is a misdemeanor. If afamily's residency status changes or is found to be inaccurately represented,the District may act to recover the cost of services provided.
