Clayton's OASIS Tutoring Program Seeks Volunteers

Make a Difference in the Life of a Child

The School District of Clayton is seeking volunteers to work with elementary students to strengthen reading and language skills. OASIS tutors help a child develop self-esteem and positive attitudes toward learning and school. Volunteers spend one hour a week during the school day working one-on-one with a child in kindergarten through third grade. All materials are provided and volunteers can select the school and day they would like to tutor.

An informational coffee will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 10 a.m. in the OASIS Suite at the Center of Clayton.

Training sessions for OASIS volunteers are scheduled for Sept. 11, 13, 18 and 20 from 9 a.m. - noon at the Center of Clayton.
