Application Procedures

Step 1:
The School District of Clayton only accepts complete applications submitted through TalentEd Recruit & Hire for employment consideration.  Select the link above for the position of interest and complete the associated application on the TalentEd Recruit & Hire website.

If you have never applied for a posting on this website, you will be prompted to create an account.  It is your responsibility to retain the user name and password which you generate during this process so that you may login to your account in the future.  In the event that you cannot remember your password, you will need to access the TalentEd Recruit & Hire website to initiate the process of resetting your account.

Step 2:
In order to be considered for an opening, your application must be complete.  This includes uploading a cover letter, resume, three reference letters, and transcripts (if applicable).

Step 3:
Applicants may be requested to perform additional assessments depending upon the position to which they apply.  For those applying for a certified opening a Gallup test is required.  Your application will not be considered until the assessment is complete. TeacherInsight can be accessed 24 hours a day and the link for the Gallup website is available through your online application.

Gallup TeacherInsight Interview/Assessment:

  • TeacherInsight will require 40-45 minutes of uninterrupted time.
  • TeacherInsight consists of three types of items: multiple choice, Likert Scale items (responses on a one-to-five scale) and open-ended items in which you write your response.
  • At the TeacherInsight Login page you will be asked to create a user name (your e-mail address) and a unique password. Please follow the directions carefully for creating the password.
  • Following completion of the assessment, Gallup immediately forwards the results to us. We will use the results to complete your application file.

Step 4:
We carefully review all candidates' credentials.  Due to the number of qualified candidates, we are unable to interview every applicant.  We will contact you if we desire to schedule an interview.

Step 5:
Candidates who interview for positions in the School District of Clayton and are not selected will be notified.

All applicants' credentials will be kept on file for one year.
