    The Board of Education heard from Meramec Elementary second-graders about their work with Project Lead the Way LAUNCH, received an update on the special education and gifted program reviews, approved bid requests and a number of personnel items.

    Board members Kristin Redington, Lily Raymond and Gary Pierson were sworn-in to three-year terms on the Board of Education. The Board also voted to elect new officers, discussed the District’s bullying and discipline policies, reviewed the 2018-2019 draft calendar and approved staffing recommendations for the 2017-2018 school year.

    The Board of Education honored Chief Technology Officer Jeff Puls, discussed the future of the Maryland School property, reviewed a staffing proposal for the 2017-2018 school year and approved several action items.

    The Board honored Captain Elementary Librarian Tom Bober and Wydown Middle School Librarian Dr. Victoria Jones and Social Studies Teacher Emily Szyman, approved a District contribution toward the renovation of Adzick Field, approved requests regarding a comprehensive landscape study and a facility assessment for the District, and received an update on the progress toward the recommendations from the Middle School Program Review.
