Birthday Fun

 

Birthday celebrations are such an important part of a kindergartner's life!  Birthdays will be listed on the monthly snack calendar.  If your child's birthday falls on a weekend or holiday, s/he will be scheduled to bring snacks as close to the actual birthday as possible.  Summer birthdays will be celebrated at the "halfway" mark, for instance, June birthdays in December and July birthdays in January.


Your kindergartner will probably have ideas for a special treat.  Please keep in mind thedistrict’s Food Allergy Management Policy.  Since schools are considered to be high-risk settings for students with life-threatening food allergies, the policy restricts peanuts and tree nuts and products containing peanuts and tree nuts.  Tree nuts include nuts such as almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, pecans, walnuts, and more.  Please check the label for this important information toensure the safety of all our children.  We would also ask that any snack be store-purchased, per district guidelines.
