Clayton Summer Programs 2013
Summer academic programs in Clayton will run from June 10 through July 3. The Clayton Summer Academy credit recovery program will run from June 3 through July 12. SummerQuest, Clayton’s recreational summer camp, will run from June 10 through July 19.
Clayton Summer Academy, for students entering grades nine through 12, will be housed at Clayton High School. Click on the link to the left to download the brochure and registration form. CHS counselors will be discussing summer and fall registration with students. New this year, three classes will be conducted for a duration of six weeks (Academic Foundations of CHS, Conferenced English and Credit Recovery Math). These three classes will be held in the morning from June 3 - July 12. A Great Start to CHS will be offered for a duration of two weeks from June 10-21 or June 24 - July 3. All other courses will be conducted for a duration of four weeks from June 10 - July 3. American Government, Personal Finance and Physical Education are considered “accelerated curriculum” due to the concentrated nature of the courses.
Wydown Summer Academy, for students entering sixth through eighth grades, will be housed offsite this year, due to construction at WMS. The location will be at Meramec Elementary School. Classes are primarily designed for students needing additional academic support. Click on the link to the left to download the brochure and registration form. Registration begins on April 8, and WSA will be held June 10 - July 3.
Elementary Summer Academy, for students entering first through fifth grades, will take place at Glenridge Elementary School. ESA is designed for students needing additional academic support. Recommended students will receive a letter around the time of parent-teacher conferences.
, a summer day camp for students entering kindergarten through eighth grades, will be located at Clayton High School, the Center of Clayton and Shaw Park. SummerQuest features six weeks of K-6 activities and programs and a two-week arts & science program for seventh-and eighth-graders.
