In the 2012 Season of Giving – please remember the CHS PTO!

We are proudly continuing our successful “Funds For Excellence” campaign to support the mission of our district. Since the partnership between our parents and our school is vital to the academic success of our children, one of our goals is to include each individual family – we gratefully appreciate your donation whether it is $100 or $5. At this point in the year, family participation is approximately 21% – your donation can bring that percentage up. Our goal is to increase this to 100% - so both large and small donations are incredibly important!

Your gift will directly benefit your child in the current academic year because “Funds for Excellence” provides immediate response to support the school with items that are not otherwise funded. The high school administration has outlined areas of need, such as:

v Teacher requests for enhancements 

v Extracurricular activities

v Outside speakers

Specific places where the Funds for Excellence money has been used in the past year include:

Ø New Bike Rack in front of the building

Ø 3D Printer for the Pro-Engineering Program

Ø Airbrush for the Forensic Science Classes

Ø Food safety videos for FACS classes

Ø N-spire Calculators to populate rental program for students in need

Ø Scholarships for students in need for various things such as testing fees (ACT, PSAT)

We understand that many worthy philanthropic organizations request your financial support throughout the year – especially now. You can know that by donating to the FFE Campaign, CHS students directly and immediately benefit by your gifts. Of course, all donations are fully tax deductible as allowed by the law and a letter will be emailed to you indicating your gift for tax purposes.
