Dear Meramec parents and guardians,

Well, the bell has rung! These last few days were very exciting and busy for our community.  

SUMMER SEND OFF was an absolute success! The DJ was a great addition as evidenced by all the kids dancing to the latest tunes! A big Meramec high five goes out to the co-chairs of this event, Danijela Boric and Stacy Donohue. These two women produced a fun-filled evening, which was the culmination of a lot of their hard work. Well done! They also had a fantastic support team consisting of Gina Nakis (ticket sales), Caroline Rice and Susie Rubin (cake walk), Nancy Planells (balloon pop), Julie Sandler and Allie Rossini (grade level games), Allison Thomason and Rula Winings (bake sale) and Tammy Feltner and Blythe Talbott (food service). Each of these events take dedication, planning and again, work. THANK YOU to these volunteers for their generous contribution of time and skills! Also, THANK YOU to all of the parents in our community who volunteered their time to the event either in its preparation or execution.   

TEACHER APPRECIATION
THANK YOU also is expressed to Lisa Mooney and our favorite Librarian Jeri Lynn Palmer, for collaborating in selecting and purchasing, on behalf of our PTO community, the books given to our retiring teachers and staff at the Meramec Elementary Assembly this week. Each book was specially selected and very much appreciated. Your children will be able to check out these books next year. After the Assembly, the retiring teachers and staff graciously wrote personal notes in the book dedicated to the library in their honor.  

END OF YEAR WRAP UP
