SeventhGrade Spanish: We move on to our City unit. We will be studying places around town and things to do there. We will also focus on getting to know the Spanish capital of Madrid, one of my favorite cities on Earth.
We will also be increasing our use of the http://www.studyspanish.com website to deepen knowledge of Spanish grammar. This includes an online program of studies for each student to complete at his or her own pace. Much of this semester's homework will involve the StudySpanish website and my profile on quia.com
Spanish 1: Bienvenidos al Español! Welcome to Spanish! We will use the text Exprésate 1 to help guide us through the first year of Spanish. Each chapter will include daily assignments (for credit), mid-chapter quizzes, and a chapter exam. Additional projects and performances round out our experience as we explore the Spanish-speaking world.
Spanish 2: ¡Bienvenidos de vuelta! Welcome back! This year we continue to use the Exprésate series as a tool toward understanding of Spanish and the Spanish-speaking world. Each chapter will include daily assignments (for credit), mid-chapter quizzes, and a chapter exam. Speaking performances, daily participation, and projects are an integral part of the course as well.
Spanish 1 and 2: Use the Exprésate Website to practice concepts and vocabulary from the textbook. This is great practice: highly recommended. Click on the current chapter to access activities related to the topics from our class time and homework.
