Dr. Kathryn Mitchell Pierce has been part of the Clayton School District since 1992. For the past six years she has served as the Wydown Writing Instructional Support Specialist, supporting teachers and students in all areas of writing. Previously, Kathryn has served the District as a multiage primary grade teacher at Glenridge Elementary School, Director of Professional Development, and Sixth Grade Literacy/Social Studies teacher at Wydown. Prior to joining the Clayton School District, Kathryn spent ten years as a full-time university faculty member teaching courses in reading, language arts, children's literature, research, and curriculum development. She continues to teach as an adjunct.
